Blossoming hope at Karanga Village
File : Date : 2010-07-12 10:16:12
There was no primary school near to Karanga Village, in Mosh, Tanzania. So children in this village should have walked for 3 hours every day under the heat of the African sun. On the long way to school, the children had been exposed to high risk of accidents or crimes such as sexual assault, kidnapping or being hit by a car, etc. However nothing could have prevented them from going to school because they knew that learning is a light of hope for their better future.
Last March, the construction of a school started at the center of the village, which people at Karanga Village wished to have for a long time. All residents of the Karanga Village positively helped to build the school because they knew how necessary and important the education is for their children's future. In June, 2010, they finished construction of the school.
For improving the educational environment of the school, the Heart to Heart Foundation had sponsored the construction of the school building including a kitchen and the dining area. Also, we had provided school supplies such as desks and chairs for the children.
