Various activities, such as gardening flowers and mural painting, were designed to promote children’s healthy growth by stimulating their sensory skills.

Mr. Yoo Hoon Lee, the principal of Seoul National School for the Blind delivered welcoming speech at Seoul National School for the Blind. And Actress Hyun-Sook Kim, the goodwill ambassador of Heart to Heart Foundation, joined and cheered up the volunteers and children.
After the ceremony, some children with visual impairments and volunteers moved outside to plant flowers hand in hand. Children were excited and asked what activities were going on and expressed their joyful feeling.

Children enjoyed outdoor activities in good spring weather while playing with soils, potting the flowers, and watering them. More than 2000 flowers colored each school’s gardens beautifully.
At wall-tile painting site, children with volunteers’ help, painted their dreams on wall-tiles. All the tiles were placed together as a mural and decorated student’s corner at the schools for the blind.

Dong-Jin, a student from Seoul National School for the Blind, painted a microphone and sang a tune. He wants to be a singer when he grows up. When the mural was finished, it looked fantastic!

After finishing all the programs, children were given Heart Bears, which represents love and hope for children all around the world.

In-Sook Shin, the chairman of Heart to Heart Foundation said, “I hope this event can be an adorable memory in the children’s hearts and the beautiful garden would be a place of hope for them.” And Hyun-Sook Kim, the goodwill ambassador of Heart to Heart Foundation said, “I had a great time with children. Especially I was happy to hear the children’s future dreams and hopes.”

Lastly, Yoo-Hoon Lee, the principal of Seoul National School for Blind said, “Thank you for coming to our school in this beautiful sunny day. This place is full of fragrance of flowers and wall-tiles which our students’ dreams are on. Above all, I am greatly happy to see that the children were pleased by this event.”
