Education on Disability Awareness, The 3rd Story 'Moo-Hak Elementary School'
File : Date : 2012-06-18 19:01:09
Our auditorium was full with 700 students, from 3rd to 6th grade students. We cheered when famous comedian duo Soo-Young Kim and Young-Gil Song appeared on the stage.

The program started with giving us simple quiz on disability. I found out that I had not known about disability before.

Next we watched a short video clip of famous people who had overcome disabilities. It was amazing to find out so many great people that we know had overcome disability.
Can you see our sparkling eyes?
After an introductory video clip of Heart Miracolo Ensemble, the Ensemble members who were just in the video clip came to the stage in tuxedos.

Heart Miracolo Ensemble members have developmental disabilities but graduated from music colleges, overcoming disabilities. We didn’t know that they had disability because developmental disability cannot be recognized by appearance.

We thought they were incredible because they practiced more than thousand times to show us a great performance.
The most memorable song was ‘You raise me up’. When I thought about the lyrics, it touched my heart and I shed tears.

Some of our friends performed ‘Radetzky March’ by Stravinsky with Heart Miracolo Ensemble on the stage. All the students were excited and clapped together on the beat.

Now I will be able to tell other people that people with disability can do whatever they try. And I want to give my support to the students with disabilities in our school.
