Opening Concert at Pre-Games of the Special Olympics World Winter Games PyeongChang 2013

The Special Olympics world game is the international sports Olympics event for people with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics spreads positive awareness about intellectual disabilities and shares the hope and joy of sports together. Heart to Heart Orchestra and the Special Olympics share the same vision of promoting the rights and talents of people with developmental disabilities.
More than 500 athletes and Special Olympics families from 9 countries came to the Pre-Game. Heart to Heart Orchestra played ‘Olympic Spirit’, ‘William Tell Overture’ and ‘The Bridge over the River Kwai’ which stirred up passion among the athletes. And the orchestra performed ‘You raise me up’ with Hyungju Im, the famous pop-opera singer, delivering a message of hope for everyone.
And Ah-Reum Song, Trumpeter of Heart to Heart Orchestra, sang Korean National Anthem for the Pre-game.

Special Olympics athletes and friends, thank you for warmly welcoming Heart to Heart Orchestra at the opening ceremony. Heart to Heart Orchestra will be in the front line to promote rights of people with developmental disabilities. We will continue doing our best to achieve inclusive society for all.
