These MLOP human resources are making an invaluable contribution to the hospital, being capable of conducting simple ophthalmic examinations and providing basic eye treatments at eye hospitals. According to Doctor Rahman, who highly praises the performances of the first graduates of the MLOP Training Center, “All six MLOPs are deeply knowledgeable of eye diseases, and are also very skilled at using and managing ophthalmic equipments and tools. Furthermore, they are very kind to the patients.”

All of the above mentioned MLOPs, who were originally employed as interns, are now hired as regular employees thanks to their outstanding level of performance.

Witnessing their performance, the hospital officials have expressed their wish ‘to continue to recruit talented graduates from the MLOP Training Center’, stating that they expect ‘a favorable collaborative relationship’ between the ‘Karamtola MLOP Training Center’ and ‘the Bangladesh Eye Hospital’ in the future.
Docter Bertin, Dean of the MLOP Training Center, showed a proud smile on his face as he witnessed the outstanding performance of his students when he visited the hospital.

Ratna expressed her feelings by saying, “I am so happy to work as a professional. I can actually practice what I learned at the MLOP Training Center last year.”

We wish to see greater contribution and activity for the ophthalmic health of the regional community by the MLOP students.
This project has been implemented as part of the “Bangladesh Eye-sight Recovery Support Program” co-sponsored by the Heart-Heart Foundation and the Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA).
