Ye Chan’s mom, who has visual impairment level 2, realized that Ye Chan had problem on his eyes after his birth. He was diagnosed with congenital cataract when he was 2 month old and he received surgery for removing crystalline lens at that time.
That made him look odd, and sometimes children tease him, but his optimistic character and sense of humor made him popular among his class so that he was elected to vice president of the class.
The first thing he does at school is reading books. Thanks to the reading magnifier supported by Heart to Heart Foundation, he doesn’t need to bend over to desk to read. Ye Chan is so excited to select new books and learn about world everyday.
