On June 27, a very special performance was held at the 'Heart Recital Hall' of Heart to Heart Foundation. It was the first recital for Donggyun Kim(flutist of Heart to Heart Orchestra), the first student to be admitted to the Korean National University of the Arts as a person with developmental disability. The 'WITH CONCERT' has begun.

The WITH CONCERT was the first concert planned by the Heart to Heart Foundation as the first recital stage for musicians with developmental disabilities who have practiced a long time as a member of the Heart to Heart Orchestra, so that they could have the chance to perform and have converstations with professional musicians in order to showcase their improved level of sociality.

The WITH CONCERT was opened by pianist Jinwoo Park, playing Liszt's 'Widmung' and Donggyun Kim, the main player of the WITH CONCERT, performed Bizet's 'L'Arlesienne', Button's 'Burton Sonatina' and Gretry's 'Tambourin'. Witnessing for the first time the performance of children with developmental disabilities, the audience was deeply impressed and expressed their astonishment with a grand round of applause.

The double bassist Minjae Sung performed Erik Satie's 'Je t'aime', Faure's 'Apres un reve' and Monti's 'Csardas', with the deep and graceful melodies of the double bass.

The Heart Recital Hall, where the WITH CONCERT took place, is a small recital hall with 70 seats, which is not open to the public frequently. On the cozy stage, the three musicians held a talk.

As the alumni of the same school, they could share their views on music and their dreams in a very relaxed atmosphere. Especially Minjae Sung, when asked about how he felt about performing with a musician with developmental disability, confessed that "it was amazing that children with developmental disability could play such great music. I could feel the power of music!"

After the on-stage-talk, the WITH CONCERT- the joint stage of a professional and a non-professional player- was held, which was the highlight of the day's event. They presented the audience with 'The Merry-go-round of Life From Howl's 'Moving Castle OST', which they already played together at 'ONE HEART CONCERT' on May 9th.

After the concert was over, many of the audience were so overwhelmed by the music that they could not easily leave their seats. So the three musicians came out to the lobby of the hall to exchange greetings with those who were there.

We express our deep gratitude to all our audience, pianist Jinwoo Park, double bassist Minjae Sung, as well as their respected mentor Donggyun Kim.
