On April 22th, the MLOP Training center Completion ceremony was held at Heart to Heart Foundation Bangladesh.

Yun-Young Lee, the Republic of Korea Ambassador to Bangladesh, Bok-Hee Kim, the Resident Representative of KOICA Bangladesh office, Man-Soo Kim, ophthalmology doctor of Sung-mo Hospital in Seoul, Jin-Young Park, the director of Karamtola Hospital in Bangladesh and about 100 distinguished guests celebrated the completion of the MLOP Training Center.

MLOP is Mid-Level Ophthalmic Personnel who can give patients simple treatments and prescribe medicine. Heart to Heart Foundation established the MLOP Training Center in 2011 and since then it has been training MLOPs to solve the problems of shortage of eye care personnel in Bangladesh.
After one year of extension construction, the MLOP Training Center has been completed.
The first floor of MLOP Training center will be used as an eye clinic, and second floor will be used for MLOP Training. Through the extension construction, MLOPs are now allowed to focus on their training in a separated space, not to mention the higher quality eye care services that the visiting patients are being provided.

We hope that the newly extended MLOP training center would bring out more excellent eye care personnel and contribute to the prevention of blindness in Bangladesh.
