On Feb. 6, There was a special meeting between Heart-to-Heart Orchestra of the youth having developmental disabilities, the first of its kind in Korea, and New York Philharmonic, the world class orchestra having 117 years of long history maintaining the top spot in the world with many maestros at each time. 

Feb. 5, the special meeting with New York Philharmonic

New York Philharmonic members who came to Korea for the performance made the precious time willingly amid their busy schedule after knowing about Heart-to-Heart Orchestra filled with passion and talent in music despite of their developmental disabilities. 

We sincerely appreciated New York Philharmonic members for their advice and encouragement who observed carefully Heart-to-Heart Orchestra members’ practice prepared hard for the meeting from the beginning to the end.

Though the languages they use are different, they were able to communicate with music, and through the meaningful meeting the youth having developmental disabilities had goals and dream in their mind of growing to be world-class performers like New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

Feb. 6, performance at the reception to celebrate New York Philharmonic’s visit toe Korea

Heart brass and clarinet ensemble were invited to the reception to celebrate New York Philharmonic’s visit to Korea which was organized by Credit Suisse sponsoring Heart-to-Heart Orchestra and the philharmonic.

Specially Heart brass ensemble appeared on the stage playing 'Just A Closer Walk' which gave fresh pleasure to the audience, and the subsequent performance of the popular song ‘Amazing Grace’ by Heart clarinet ensemble with soft tone from clarinet received big applause from all of the audience.  

After the concert, the members of both orchestras met and spent good time having conversation and encouraging each other as performers. 

We hope to have your constant encouragement and attention so that Heart-to-Heart Orchestra would become one like New York Philharmonic doing activities over the world spreading impressions to many people, and wish to meet again next time.
