2Glasses were delivered to Msijute and Dihimba Primary School in Mtwara, Tanzania in August 2018 with the support of L'Occitane. After receiving training in the eye health care, primary school teachers screened students who need glasses. Then the outreach team accompanied by the ophthalmic personnel visited the school and gave glasses to students who are eligable for receiving glasses.

There are some important steps to get glasses. These students have never used glasses before, and neither their parents have. So They learned how to wear the glasses and how to manage them with their parents

Students are being instructed about wearing glasses and things to know

As soon as they get glasses, they go to the library and read books

As soon as they received the glasses, they rushed to the library and started reading books. The were very excited to read books clearly.
