The Ophthalmic Clinical Officer visited the primary school, and They are conducting Eye Sight Test, Eye screening and prescribing Eye drops. Students who will need glasses and surgery in the future will also be provided with glasses and surgery. And the provision of Glasses and surgical support will be done after consultation and counselling of their respective parents. Counselling is aimed at providing critical information and soliciting buy-in of parents to mitigate myths about eye surgeries, a common barrier to accessing eye health services in Malawi.
