On 12 December 2018, HHI Bangladesh branch office was held The 8th MLOP (Mid Level Ophthalmic Personnel) graduation and handover ceremony. In 2018, it was the end of the eye health promotion project over the past 10 years in Gazipur District. From 2018, for build sustainable management of MLOP training center after hand over, HHI MLOP training center and Karamtola Nursing School integrated and teaching the eye health knowledge to 9 nursing school students with following Bangladesh government’s strategy that cultivating eye health personnel by training nurses. 

In this ceremony, key participants that included Government Agencies, Officials gave generous congratulations for 9 MLOP graduates. And Seok-no Lee, the director of the Karamtola Hospital who transferred the MLOP center, said, "We will continue to expand the ophthalmology that has been active through the project, and share the strategies that have accumulated through the project with hospitals in the neighborhood so that the hospital can be activated around the ophthalmology and continue to train eye health personnel." 

The project will end on 31 December 2018, but HtHI expect to consistently provide and expand ophthalmological services that will implement for local residents who need eye care through continuous training of eye health personnel and sharing the strategies of activating Eye Camp and Ophthalmological Hospitals.
