On 21th November, Heart to heart International Tanzania branch(HtHI Tanzania branch) held 2019 WASH Annual Forum
 at Seaview Beach Resort in Lindi town. 
64 participants from Tanzania government officials and teachers who are involved in the project as well as Heart to Heart International staffs 
joined in this forum to share project performance and plan for the upcoming year. 



 

 

RAS (Lindi Regional Administrative Secretary), the guest of honor, said “Thank you so much for what HtHI brings to us.

 The achievement of this project will help us to change our behavior in terms of sanitation and hygiene from both students and community.” 

 

 



The HtHI and Lindi Government promised keep work more closely for effective project implementation.

 

 

 

 

To contribute to prevention of waterborne diseases by improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene in Lindi District, 

HtHI supports provision of drinking water (12 primary schools and 3 health facilities) and sanitary facilities (3 primary schools). 

There are 11,432 students and 2,561 caregivers with under-5 children provided hygiene education through SLTS (School Led Total Sanitation) 

and RCH (Reproductive and Child Health) Clinic. For strengthening capacity of local WASH governance, 

HtHl is working closely in cooperation with Lind District Education and Health Offices.

In the next second year, 2020, the HtHI will strive to strengthen access to safely managed drinking water sanitation from schools,

 health center and improve the hygiene behavior of local communities. 

The HtHI will contribute to the prevention of waterborne disease by enhancing personal hygiene awareness through SLTS and RCH education program 

and improving environmental factors of water and hygiene through renovating latrines, borehole construction.

Please pay attention to Lindi, Tanzania which is on the lead of prevention of waterborne disease by improving water hygiene.
