In 2012, Heart to Heart expanded its low vision program in partnership with Standard Chartered Korea. The financial institution has engaged in corporate social responsible activities for prevention of vision loss, “Seeing is believing” and provided various educational and cultural projects and activities for children with low vision but fall under the welfare dead-zone.

Today’s program brought together employees, families and clients of Standard Chartered Korea and students of four of the schools for the blind and provided cultural activities as well as an occasion for students with low vision to develop their senses and untapped talents through “Making a Green Garden” and “Murals on Tile” activities.

“With Rude Miss Young-ae season 10 just kicked off, I’ve been a little nervous with the shooting. Spending time with the children today was very relaxing and exciting for me. I always wanted to become an actress since I was little. Now I have achieved my dream and it’s in progress too. I am really glad that today’s event seems to have helped these children with visual impairments discover their talents and senses so that they can also discover their dreams,” said Kim Hyunsook, a goodwill ambassador of the Heart to Heart Foundation.

Along with this program, Heart to Heart Foundation will give reading magnifiers to 50 children with low vision on May 31st.
